Old Maps of Italy and the Mediterranean
Italy was divided into kingdoms and city-states for many years. France, Austria and Spain were rulers of much of
Italy until unification between 1859 and 1870; These old maps cover the history of Italy betrween 1570 and
1857.
These historic maps are giclee prints on very high quality cotton rag archival paper or canvas, with a selection
of museum quality frames and mats. The prints are derived from images in the archives of the Library of
Congress.
Below are portions of a 1705 map of Northern Italy typical of the detailed appearance of these prints.
